All images must be real photographs. No anime/cartoon/manga/etc.

Characters must have a 'play-by' and the play-by must be a famous singer/actor/model of some kind. Once you have your play-by claim them so no one else can use them!

Use proper grammar, punctuation, and spelling when posting in character and out of character. It's really bothersome to be reading a long, long post and be unable to get through it properly because of all the little mistakes that spell-check could fix. Granted we're all human - don't be excessive!

First person or third person only, please. No second person point of view posts. These are where you refer to the reader as the one who is doing what you have written. Please don't do this.

No stealing, of characters, ideas, images, anything. It's not right and it won't be tolerated here.

No harassment or bullying of any kind. This is an rpg if you can't handle the make believe aspects and want to start site-wide drama that ruins the site make your own place and do that. We worked too hard on this one for that here.

No spamming, chat-speak, or advertising in the cbox. Turning your name into a link to a site you own is okay. Putting the link in the cobx and saying 'hey everyone go here!' is not okay. Abuse of the c-box will result in it's removal from the site.

First and foremost, when registering you need to put your screen name to your characters first middle and last name in all lower case letters, no special characters, just the average spaces and the words. Like so.

If registering, you are agreeing to comply with not just this site's but Proboards' rules as well. That said, only 13 year old people and over may join.

Pick a creative and unique character name but don't go so far out of the box with it that it just looks like a bunch of words put together. Make it sound and look like a name.

Yes you can have the same first name or the same last name, or both at the same time as another character, just have a different middle name, and please make sure that you know who is who!

First off, flawless characters don't exist. The correct term for those are either Mary Sues or Gary Stus. We'd like to see NONE of them on this site, thanks. Everyone has weaknesses, everyone can get severely hurt and/or die.

Regarding face claims, ensure that your desired celebrity isn't taken by checking our face claim list. The only exceptions we'll allow is twins/triplets/quadruplets.

Keep to the forms provided, please. We made them pretty for you, all you have to do is fill them out!

Last but not least, please make sure your character fits in with the universe we have created. I hardly think that Doctor Who would suddenly appear in front of the Winchester boys.

This board is rated PG13, so if you can't handle mature threads then either don't read or don't join. Mature threads include strong language, violence, and drugs, nothing more. ['Black as the night skies shall we rise']

Please keep your threads as clean as possible. Gray-time is necessary and will be enforced for the younger crowd that gathers here. (remember people, you need to be at least 13 to use proboards, anyway)

Because we are rated PG13 I would like to ask people to be very mature about handling anything on the site and don't take anything personally from and IC thread. It's just not mature or professional.

Strong language is aloud, just don't be over excessive with it. No one wants to read the f-bomb every three words.

Drugs are aloud, don't over-do it.

Violence is aloud, just like in the real world, it's bound to happen. make sure that all parties involved have agreed to what will happen in the end and that nothing gets excessive. Every thread being filled with bloody gore and violence will cause amendments to this rule.

Keep in mind Social Butterfly is not about sex and relationships and what not. So don't go having sex in every thread you're in. Otherwise I'll put a temporary ban on sexual activities.

Your icon (or avatar) is allowed to be up to 150x200.

No pornography or insulting images will be tolerated.

Advertising; no double post or I'll double post on your site. Got it? Good.;)

Affiliating; we don't do marquee affiliates. Only static and scrolling. Although we think they're tacky, we have elected to put in a few marquee affiliates. These affiliates will be very selectively chosen, however, so don't complain if your site doesn't make our cut. We'll still put you up.
